SUFFERING THE SILENCE

Suffering The Silence is an online community for people living with chronic illnesses, a space for patients, friends, and family to share and witness the true living experience of chronic disease. Too often patients of these illnesses feel silenced and dismissed. As of Fall 2016, Suffering The Silence is a 501(c)(3) non-profit for which Amanda is the founding creative director.

The original photographs that launched the STS movement were taken as a part of breaking the silence and encouraged people around the world to share their stories.

After the Original 11 Photographs were published, the project has and continues to see several iterations.
